Michele Delaney new West Clermont board of education member

At its regular meeting on June 10, 2019, the West Clermont Board of Education voted to appoint Michele Delaney as the replacement to fill Denise Smith’s unexpired term.

Delaney has been an active member of the West Clermont community for 20 years and both of her children attended and graduated from West Clermont schools. She has held leadership positions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and was recognized in 2016 as an Orpha Gatch Award Nominee for Outstanding Woman Volunteer in Clermont County. Most recently, she has served as the President of the West Clermont High School Athletic Boosters and has been active in the WCHS Parent Teacher Student Organization.

“I’m honored and blessed to be a part of the future of our district,” Delaney said. She’s a licensed pharmacist in the state of Ohio who serves as a Medicare Clinical Pharmacist Program Manager for Anthem.

“We are very excited to have Mrs. Delaney on our team and we feel that Mrs. Smith would be really proud to have Michele taking her seat,” Tina Sanborn, board president, said.

“Mrs. Delaney’s knowledge of the district will be a great asset to us as we engage with the community and continue to build our strategic plan for the future,” Superintendent Natasha Adams, added.

West Clermont is committed to courageous culture, academic achievement, and future ready schools.
