Evelyn I. Jestice, age 85, died peacefully on December 12, 2018. Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Evelyn grew up in Mt. Orab, Ohio. She moved to McLean, VA in 1962, where she raised her family and was a resident for over 55 years.
Evelyn embraced life and enjoyed many activities, including traveling, golf, bowling, and the occasional adventure, such as parasailing. She was a member of the McLean Garden Club and River Bend Golf & Country Club. However, her true love was her family. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she loved sharing events of their lives with her friends.
With her contagious smile, quick wit, and enormous heart, Evelyn brightened the day of everyone she met.
Evelyn was dearly loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Kevin; grandchildren Brandon Jestice, Shannon (Ryan) Alexander, Derek Jestice, Trevor (Christine) Jestice, Haley (Eric) Tarnowski; great-grandchildren Natalie, Emersyn, Marcus, Conor, and Julian; brother Charles, sister-in-law Betty; and niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger.
The funeral service was held on June 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay St., Williamsburg, Ohio. Reverend Pete Elliott officiated. Burial followed the funeral at Williamsburg Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
