Nancy Burns of Clermont County, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2019. The Lord smiled upon her and allowed her to peacefully pass away at home.

Nancy was born in 1937 in Mt Olivet Kentucky. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University she moved to New Richmond Ohio to start her long and distinguished career as a primary grade teacher. While teaching at New Richmond she shaped many lives and helped prepare young people for the future Nancy (age 81) will sadly be missed by all who knew her. Rarely could she go to the store when you didn’t hear a former student say, “hi Mrs Burns, you were my favorite teacher”. Nancy’s father was a teacher / principal and her 3 sisters are also retired teachers. She was proceeded in death by her husband Donald Burns and her parents Herman and Etta Hale.  

Surviving is her son Michael Burns and his wife Misty.  Additionally, there are 4 grandchildren, Ashley Himes, Megan Reynolds,Tyler Burns and AJ Bell, along with 7 great grandchildren, also surviving are her sisters,Peggy Hedges, Suzanne Wrigglesworth and Johnny Phelan.

At the families request there will be no formal service. Friends who wish to honor Nancy may do so by sending a donation to the Clermont County Public Library.
