Sukie Scheetz, Director of the Office of Management & Budget (OMB) for Clermont County, was named assistant county administrator on May 9 by the Board of County Commissioners.

Ms. Scheetz has worked for Clermont County government since 1994, when she was hired as finance director for the Water Resources Department.

In 2001, she was named Controller and Director of OMB. As Director of OMB, Ms. Scheetz oversees all budgetary and fiscal operations that come under the purview of the Board of County Commissioners.

Ms. Scheetz, who lives with her husband in Milford, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, where she majored in accounting. Before coming to Clermont County, she worked for 10 years at General Electric in financial management.

“We are delighted to have someone with Sukie’s dedication and experience as the assistant county administrator,” said Commissioner Ed Humphrey, President of the Board of County Commissioners. “Her in-depth knowledge of county financials and county operations will make this a seamless transition as she assumes her new role.”

County Administrator Thomas Eigel said, “I have worked closely with Sukie for several years. Her dedication is second to none. She is a strong asset to the county, and I’m looking forward to working with her on a number of projects.”

“I am excited about taking on this new role,” Ms. Scheetz said. “My position with OMB has given me a sound understanding of county operations, and managing within our means. There are a number of initiatives I look forward to accomplishing with Tom and the Commissioners, as we continue to move our county forward.”

Previously, Mr. Eigel was assistant county administrator and was promoted to county administrator in February.

A search will begin for Ms. Scheetz’s successor at OMB.
