The Batavia Highway Patrol Post, with assistance from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Goshen Township Police Department and the Miami Township Police Department conducted an OVI checkpoint on SR 28 in Goshen Township, Clermont County on May 11, 2018 from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM. A total of 844 vehicles were checked with nine drivers being diverted and administered field sobriety testing. Two of the nine drivers were determined to be impaired, and were arrested for OVI.

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
