Zona Evelyn Rosser (née Smith) passed at the age of 85 on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Born in Oneida, TN, she was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zelta Smith, her brothers William (Louise) Ralph Smith, Randy Defo (Gloria) Smith, grandson Jeremy Trent, as well as her beloved husband, James Edward Rosser.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Brenda) and daughters Vicki (Joseph) Boyko and Rosonna Garcia, her grandchildren: Michelle Fournier, Missy Valentine, Matthew Dunphy, Joseph Boyko, Lisa Santorelli, Anthony Michael Garcia, Jeramy Garcia, Jonathon Garcia, Shaye Wynn, Jason Rosser and Dawn Hounshell, her great-grandchildren: Damian Santorelli, Jessica Santorelli, Dominic Garcia, Katelyn Kephart, Nicholas Garcia, Josie Philpot, Lila Philpot, Olivia Dunphy, Lucas Dunphy, Alexis Wynn, Quinton Rosser, Jake Rosser, Regan Hounshell, Tucker Hounshell, Jared Hounshell, and great-great-grandchildren, Isabella Santorelli, Sophia Santorelli, and Camden Garcia. Special thanks to Michael Feldman for his generosity and companionship over the years.
Zona “Evelyn” was a longtime member of the First Baptist Amelia Church.
She enjoyed anything to do with flowers, plants, all animals—especially cats, and crocheting lovely blankets. She was affectionately known as the “Crazy Cat Lady”.
Visitors were welcomed on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 5-7PM at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home (Amelia). Memorial Service immediately followed. Burial took place in Oneida, Tennessee thereafter.
