Police: Georgetown man’s 7th OVI offense

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have charged a Georgetown man with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, his 7th lifetime OVI.

Mr. William R. Burson, age 38, of Georgetown, Ohio was stopped for a turn signal violation on SR 32 in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio, on April 15, 2018 at 10:47 P.M.

Mr. Burson displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for OVI.

He was transported to the Batavia Post where he consented to a breath test with a result of a .127 BAC.

The legal limit in Ohio is .08 BAC.

Mr. Burson has six prior OVI convictions, three through Brown County Municipal Court, one through Clermont County Municipal Court, one through Hamilton County Common Pleas, and one through Brown County Common Pleas.

Mr. Burson was incarcerated in the Clermont County Jail.
