Our presenter will be Ms. Sallieann Atkins. Sallieann grew up in Paris, Tennessee on a large farm that had an extensive bee hive setup and butterfly habitats. She developed a passion for pollinators and their importance at an early age because of her family’s operation. Sallieann said, “I appreciate the opportunity to share my passion for pollinators and hopefully I can cause a buzzzz in your hearts as well!” Sallieann attended Murray State University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Agriculture.

She currently is a volunteer Educator and Bee Keeper with the Pollen Nation team at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The photo was taken at Cincinanti Zoo’s ECOhio in Mason, Ohio.

We are growing our Garden Club membership and excited to bring on new members. If you are interested in joining our Garden Club, contact Connie Compton at connie.compton1970@gmail.com or call 937-205-2546. Check out our facebook page at “Amelia Garden Club.”
