Sallieann Atkins. Photo provided.

Our presenter will be Ms. Sallieann Atkins. Sallieann grew up in Paris, Tennessee on a large farm that had an extensive bee hive setup and butterfly habitats. She developed a passion for pollinators and their importance at an early age because of her family’s operation. Sallieann said, “I appreciate the opportunity to share my passion for pollinators and hopefully I can cause a buzzzz in your hearts as well!” Sallieann attended Murray State University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Agriculture.

She currently is a volunteer Educator and Bee Keeper with the Pollen Nation team at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The photo was taken at Cincinanti Zoo’s ECOhio in Mason, Ohio.
