Quarter auction for June in Olde Williamsburgh in April

“Bring your quarters and bring your friends,” says the June in Olde Williamsburgh Committee. On Saturday, April 7th at 6 PM, the non-profit organization is holding a Quarter Auction at American Legion Post 288 located at 208 East Main Street in support of the June in Olde Williamsburgh Festival. The event will feature items from well-known vendors, including View & Brew, Holiday Inn Riverfront, Paparazzi Accessories, Scentsy, and more, as well as an assortment of delicious treats, gift certificates and uniquely themed baskets. What exactly is a Quarter Auction, one might ask? Each item up for bid is displayed for all to see. The auctioneer gives a brief description of the item, noting how many quarters will be required for bidding. Guests then give their bids, raise their paddles, and when all quarters are collected, the auctioneer draws one, numbered chip from a container. The number on the bidding paddle that matches the chip drawn will determine the winner of each item. Bidding paddles will be available at the door for $1 each. Still confused?

No worries – come and see for yourself. “The Quarter Auction is sure to be a fun, family-friendly experience,” says June in Olde Williamsburg Committee.
