On November 15, 2017, more than 20 Felicity-Franklin FFA members traveled to Whiteoak High School to compete at the district food science career development event. With the three top individuals and others placing high as well, Felicity took home a win.

On December 2, 2017, the top four individuals from the district contest competed again for the state title.

This time, they placed second, with all four students placing within the top 20. These four members will compete at the Big E in Massachusetts in September 2018 to represent Ohio on a regional level.

The Felicity-Franklin FFA middle school food science team also placed first, with members Luke Jennings in first place individually, Trinity Evans in third, Alisha Boone in seventh, and Katie Janson in eighth.

However, the state does not host a food science CDE for middle school, so our successful eighth graders will have to wait for state until next year.
