On December 2, 2017, two FFA members from Felicity-Franklin FFA traveled to the Ohio State University in Columbus to compete in the culmination of the Job Interview CDE within the state of Ohio.

Leading up to this point, the chapter had hosted a contest with many participants, in which the winner for each grade would move on to a sub-district competition. From the chapter contest, six winners for their divisions competed at sub-district. All competitors won their sub-district division, sending them to the district level.

Three girls from Felicity won at districts, but only two could compete for the state prize, because the state does not host an eighth grade contest.

These two girls, Madison Carnahan and Emilee Falgner, each placed sixth in their divisions of ninth grade and first-year junior/senior, respectively.
