On Dec. 20, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) voted in favor of the conference report to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (H.R. 1), which passed the House of Representatives.

“Relief is on the way for American taxpayers. I am proud to support this final and historic tax reform legislation. Tax reform comes once in a generation, and this bill sets the path for economic growth and prosperity for generations to come.

“Throughout this process, I have not lost sight of the basic promise of tax reform: more money back in the hands of hardworking Ohioans and making America the best place to do business and grow jobs. I fought to preserve provisions important to Cincinnati and Southern Ohio, and am heartened to see many of them included in this final legislation. Pro-growth, pro-jobs, pro-security. That’s the bill we delivered today.

“I thank Chairman Kevin Brady, Speaker Paul Ryan, and our entire team in the House for their hard work throughout the year in securing the first major tax reform since 1986.

Wenstrup continued, “I look forward to Senate passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and getting this legislation on the President’s desk before Christmas.”
