The Bethel Historical Society will be hosting live music on Saturday, August 19th, from 1-4PM at the Bethel History Museum, located at the Grant Memorial Building at the corner of Plane and Main Streets in Bethel. The Kinner Express Oldtime Music Band rolls into Bethel to entertain with bluegrass, country, rock-n-roll, and gospel music. Their mix of various avenues of old-time music is unique in this age of electronic generated music. You will hear selections from such artists as Hank Williams Sr., Chuck Berry, Jean Ritchie, Fats Domino, Merle Haggard, Ralph Stanley, Delmore Brothers, CCR, Cox Family, The Carter Family, George Jones, Alabama, Charlie Daniels, Dion, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Dillards, and many others.

Over the last 12 years the band has entertained at the Art in the Park Festival in Augusta, Ky, Harmony Hill Vineyards in Bethel, Wheat Ridge Herb Festival in Adams County, Southern Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Brown County Fair in Georgetown, The Crossing Church in Batavia, Sunflower Festival in Milford, Locust Corner UMC,  Eastside Church in Milford, Shinkle’s Ridge Church near Higginsport, New England Club on Beechmont Avenue, Pinebrook Living in Milford, Grow, Inc. in Georgetown, Adams County Seniors in Cherry Fork, Old Bethel Church inside East Fork State Park, Bethel Nazarene Church in Bethel, Liberty Chapel Scrub Ridge near Blue Creek, Boar’s Head Carryout Annual Charity Fundraiser near Williamsburg, Anderson Township Historical Society and many area nursing homes and senior centers.

Many different instruments can be heard with this band including: Kentucky dulcimer, fiddle, keyboard, bass, slide guitar, harmonica, tambourine, guitars, and drums.. If your music choice is oldtime music this group fills that slot.
