On May 15, 2017, the Felicity-Franklin FFA held their 61st annual banquet and silent auction. Students brought their families to be served dinner and received awards for their many achievements this year. Members received awards for their participation in CDEs (Career Development Events) from chapter to state level. Some members will be competing at the national level this fall! Other students received awards for their agricultural projects (SAEs) and research in agricultural systems.

Over 300 people attended the banquet, from chapter members and their families, to previous members like last year’s national officer Sydney Snider, to alumni, and state officers. Trophies, plaques, and other gifts were given to members for participation and awards they have received over the past year. A few select supporters were awarded with an Honorary Degree, which they received for their endless support of our organization. Videos from State Convention were played, as well as a slideshow with photos from this year, and a heartfelt senior slideshow with recordings of seniors thanking advisors and family.

The chapter president, Emily Woodall, gave her retiring address towards the end of the event, just before the new officers were announced for this year. The chapter also hosted a silent auction to fund senior scholarships awarded by the FFA Alumni. The banquet was a success in every aspect, and our chapter cannot wait to see what the future holds for FFA!
