Milford Historical Society presenting second annual ‘Thirsty 4 History’ event

—Event to feature craft beer tastings, food, live entertainment, crafting demonstrations, antique bottle display and more on the grounds of Promont in Milford, Ohio—

The Greater Milford Area Historical Society (GMAHS) will host its 2nd annual Thirsty 4 History featuring locally brewed craft beer, food, entertainment, crafting demonstrations, Cincinnati antique bottle display, a silent auction, split the pot raffle and Promont museum tours. The adult-oriented event will be held 3:00-6:00 PM, July 29, 2017, at Promont, 906 Main Street, Milford, Ohio.

“We present Thirsty 4 History as a way to introduce the community to GMAHS and Promont, the 1865 Italianate mansion that is home to the Society,” commented Donna Amann, administrator, GMAHS. “This event is one of several we are conducting this year to grow awareness for GMAHS and celebrate the Society’s 50th anniversary; and it is part of our Membership Matters initiative.”

Thirsty 4 History is for adults ages 21 and older. Admission is $25.00 per person if reserved by July 15 ($30.00 after July 15) and includes six 4-ounce beer tastings and tapas-style food servings. A non-beer admission is available at $20.00 each.

· Live music featuring classic country singer Phyllis Staley and friends

· Crafting demonstrations

· Cincinnati antique bottle display

· A split-the-pot raffle and silent auction

Visitors will also have an opportunity to sign up for one of two free docent-led Promont tours to be held at 3:15 PM and 4:30 PM on July 29. Tours are limited in size and require registration. Participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure a confirmed space by calling Virginia at 513/238-8042.
