As a shelter dedicated to helping homeless cats and dogs, the League for Animal Welfare, fundraising is essential.
And speaking of a permanent fixture, what better partnership than the League for Animal Welfare, Skin Tight Tattoos, Everything Bagels and a day for the artful expression of one’s passion for the cause of shelter animals-a Tattoo Marathon!

This Sunday, March 26, from 9am-9pm, Batavia’s own Skin Tight Tattoos is hosting a 12-hour marathon. The event is first-come, first-served and participants can choose from animal-themed designs drawn up by the artists. Each tattoo is $25. All proceeds will be donated to the League.

Everything Bagels will generously donate food to those waiting their turn. League staff and volunteers will be on hand with adoptable animals (weather-permitting), information on volunteering, fostering and adoptions.

Founded in 1949, the League is a privately funded, non-profit organization providing much-needed care for unwanted, lost and neglected cats and dogs in our community. Operating the oldest and one of the largest no-kill shelters in the area serving through initiatives to reduce the number of homeless animals and to help people better care for their pets.
