Tucked away on twenty tranquil acres, Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (CTRH) has provided therapeutic riding to children and adults with disabilities for over 30 years. CTRH now offers free programming for military veterans. The program rescues wild mustangs in crisis, and teaches veterans with disabilities the skills they need to gentle the mustangs.

In the process, veterans receive the healing they need and deserve, and the wild mustangs receive the gentling that allows them to be adopted into a loving home.

The program has been so successful that it has the opportunity to expand and help more veterans – and more wild mustangs. But in order to do so, it needs volunteers! CTRH is looking for horse-savvy people who are interested in volunteering.

Volunteers work one-on-one with veterans and horses, helping to teach them horsemanship and helping to facilitate a relationship between horse and hero!
