On Friday Sept. 16, the Felicity Franklin FFA officer team was invited to the Clermont County Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Awards and Clermont Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast series. The breakfast was sponsored by the Clermont County Farm Bureau agency and was held to showcase young leaders in our community.

The breakfast included sausage from hogs raised in Clermont County, pancakes, fruits and many more of the usual breakfast items. All young leaders attending received a certificate thanking them for being leaders in the agricultural community.

After breakfast the officer team had the pleasure of listening to Eric Thomas from the Central Ohio River Business Association, Robert Lees, International Trade Advisor, and Brandon Kern, Ohio Farm Bureau about the Panama Canal expansion.

The expansion will affect the Ohio River region due to imports and exports traveling in water ways, which means agricultural expansion which will greatly affect our area.
