Entering the final two games of the regular season, the Bethel-Tate Tigers are in the driver’s seat in the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference. An 8-0 record leaves them just one win shy of clinching back-to-back league titles.

The team won their seventh conference game last week, defeating Felicity-Franklin 6-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 27. That same day, Blanchester earned a 5-0 win over Clermont Northeastern, Batavia and Goshen battled to a 2-2 tie, and New Richmond defeated Amelia 3-0.

Amelia came back out onto the pitch on Sept. 28 and picked up a 5-0 win over Goshen. One day later, New Richmond defeated Norwood 3-0, with Western Brown battling Batavia to a 1-1 tie. In the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, Milford rolled to a 9-0 win over Glen Este.

The Eagles would be grounded on Oct. 1 with a 4-2 loss to Lebanon. Batavia dropped a 5-1 decision to Mariemont.

Goshen fell to Fayetteville-Perry 4-2 in a non-conference bout on Oct. 3.

Teams will look to continue improving their conference standings on Thursday, Oct. 6. Glen Este visits Loveland while Milford hosts Kings. Amelia travels to Western Brown, Goshen hosts New Richmond, and Felicity-Franklin battles Clermont Northeastern. Williamsburg and Bethel-Tate square off in Bethel, and Batavia visits Norwood. All of those matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
