Strickland, who served as governor from 2007-2011, is running for US Senate and stopped at the restaurant on as he campaigned across southern Ohio.

“It was a real honor to be able to host a campaign appearance by Governor Ted Strickland at the Country Inn,” David Restaurant Group Regional Operations Manager Steve Ernstes said. “He is a class act all around, and we are pleased the campaign chose our restaurant for this appearance.”

Strickland spoke on a wide variety of topics for about 45 minutes at the Country Inn to a group that included Candidate for State Representative (66th District) Ken P. McNeely, Jr., Candidate for State Senator (14th District) Charlie Carlier, Georgetown Mayor Dale Cahall, and many local officials and supporters.

Before he left for his next campaign stop, Strickland posed for pictures with supporters and Country Inn employees.
