Students in the Glen Este High School Advanced Health Class participated in the Life Center Cincinnati 2016 “I Am Hope” Challenge, recently. The contest was a week-long philanthropy campaign designed to promote organ and tissue donation.

GEHS won the challenge with a total of 8785 points. Second place was captured by Notre Dame High School with 4647 points.

According to GEHS Advanced Health teacher Joan Stear students performed over 8000 hours of health community service learning. “It was an honor to watch my students develop health advocacy skills and work with corporate and educational representatives. Being recognized as the regional winner for this cause was a great way to capstone extensive health community service learning by the Advanced Health students!” Stear added.
