Libraries Transform is the theme for this year’s National Library Week April 10-16.

Since 1958, this event has been a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries. It’s also a time to increase awareness that libraries are about more than just books in today’s modern world.

The Clermont County Public Library now offers charging stations for your mobile devices, fax-scanners, laptops and lots of eResources. The branches also offer space to help families.

In February, a mother and her daughter visited the Felicity Library to use a computer.

The daughter was able to use one of the Homework Center computers. She finished and printed a homework assignment in less time than it would have taken to wait for a computer in the main library area, which were all being used at the time.

In January, a high school student discovered she can use a new laptop at the Amelia Branch to take a college exam while sitting in the meeting room undisturbed, all for no cost.

Stop in your branch library during National Library Week. Write down your favorite book on an entry form for a chance to win a gift basket. Receive a free gift, too.
