The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that three members of its Class of 2016 will continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level. The student-athletes that have committed to continuing their academic and athletic futures include: Taylor Foster (Women’s Basketball-University of Indianapolis), Brianna McCaulley (Women’s Lacrosse-Transylvania University) and Abby Swensen (Women’s Golf-Ohio Dominican University).

Foster is a three-time All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference choice after earning first team honors as a freshman and second team accolades as a sophomore and junior. Despite being limited to just 14 games last season, Foster averaged nine points and five rebounds per game and was coming on strong before being sidelined with a season-ending injury. In two of her final three games last winter, Foster scored a career-high 23 points against Bethel-Tate and followed it up with 19-point output in a win at Walnut Hills.

After signing a National Letter of Intent, Foster will play at Indianapolis for former NBA and foreign professional player Constantin Popa. Popa, who stands at 7’3” tall and is believed to be the tallest coach in NCAA history, has led the Greyhounds to three NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in four years. Taylor is the daughter of Christy and Tim Gregory and Trevor and Amy Foster.

Brianna McCaulley, seated center, is joined at her signing by her mother and father, Jason McCaulley and Claudia Knotts, seated on either side, and her step-father, Chad Knotts, standing back center.
McCaulley will enter her fourth year on the varsity team (Milford lacrosse is currently a club sport) and was a second team all-conference and ECCLC selection last spring. She also earned Academic All-Ohio and US Lacrosse Academic All-America honors in 2015.

At Transylvania, McCaulley will play for head coach Lauren Bickford who enters her second season leading the Pioneers this year. Brianna is the daughter of Jason McCaulley and Claudia and Chad Knotts.

Abby Swensen, seated center, is joined at her signing by her mother and father, Keith and Amy Swensen, seated on either side, and her coach, Sandy Garrison, standing back center.
Swensen was a second team All-Southwest District and first team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection this fall. She concludes her career as a four-time All-ECC selection, including the last three years as a first team honoree. This season, Swensen qualified for the OHSAA Southwest District Championships, while tying for second at the ECC Tournament with a round of 84. She finished second in the ECC in average behind conference player of the year Katie Hallinan of Walnut Hills, finishing at 40.9.

At Ohio Dominican, Swensen will play for veteran head coach Chris Deibel who has led the program to three NAIA National Championship appearances during his tenure. Abby is the daughter of Keith and Amy Swensen.

Further signee information will be shared throughout the 2015-16 academic year as it is finalized.
