The 8-year old Bethel-Tate Tigers wrapped up another impressive fall football season finishing in second place in the Clermont County Youth Football League.

The Tigers, who have been together for the last three seasons, completed the regular season with a 7-1 record, their lone loss coming at hands of Blanchester in a 14-6 loss.

Earning the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye, the Tigers defeated No. 3 seed Batavia on Nov. 7 at Clermont Northeastern High School, 22-8, to earn a Super Bowl berth and a rematch with Blanchester.

Playing on Nov. 14 at Batavia High School, the Tigers were unable to unseat the reigning champions, losing 16-6.

The football season is not over for Bethel, however.

Combining with Goshen’s squad, the makeshift team is known as ‘Elite’ and will travel to Gatlinburg, Tenn. for the Turkey Bowl.

Last year, the combined team won the Bowl last year and hope for a repeat in 2015.
