Amelia Administrative Manager Julie Wartman retired from the village Feb. 13 and village officials are looking to fill her position.

Wartman has been working there for almost 11 years, according to Amelia Mayor Todd Hart.

Hart recognized Wartman during the Feb. 10 council meetin and presented her with an engraved clock.

“She has definitely seen a lot of things happen,” Hart said about Wartman’s time with the village.

Hart said Wartman did a good job working as administrative manager. He said she recently moved to Kentucky and took a job at a non-profit agency.

“We will miss her,” Hart said. “Hopefully I can find someone to fill her shoes.”

Hart said they already advertised to fill Wartman’s position and have been receiving applications.

“Hopefully we’ll do some interviewing toward the end of the week,” Hart said.
