Officials announced that the man who was murdered Sept. 14 in Miami Township was killed by his brother.

According to Miami Township Police, officers responded to the 6500 block of Branch Hill Miamiville Road at approximately 8:16 p.m. after being notified about a disturbance and possible stabbing.

When Miami Township police and EMS arrived on the scene they found 30-year-old Michael Timpe dead.

Clermont County Prosecutor Vincent Faris said Kristopher Timpe, 19, stabbed his older brother Michael Timpe at their home.

Kristopher Timpe, 19, was taken into custody and later taken to the Clermont County Jail.

Timpe was charged with murder, a first degree felony.

He remains in Clermont County Jail with a $250,000 bond.

Faris said Timpe waived his preliminary hearing and his case will soon be presented to a Clermont County Grand Jury.

“That will be within the next couple of weeks,” Faris said.
