Veteran Milford High School baseball coach Tom Kilgore was recently announced as a finalist for the MSA Sports/Cincinnati Reds Coach of the Year, honoring the Greater Cincinnati area’s top skippers. The finalists were recognized on the field prior to the Cincinnati Reds’ home game on Sunday, July 27.

During the 2014 season, Kilgore led the Eagles to a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championship, the program’s third straight conference crown and seventh since 2002. The Eagles also advanced to the OHSAA Sectional Finals, coming up just short in a battle with Mason.

The other finalists for the award were Lakota West’s Bill Dreisbach, Jeff Keith of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Bill Krumpelbeck of Covington Catholic and Troy Roberts of Simon Kenton, who was chosen as the winner.

Each finalist received an engraved bat. MSA Architects is an architectural firm with offices in Downtown Cincinnati, as well as Columbus.
