Stepping Stones celebrated Independence Day with face paint, hot dogs and red white and blue streamers at the annual Independence Day picnic sponsored by Resurgent Capital Services at the summer camp for children, teens and adults with disabilities.

The picnic is a 9-year tradition at the summer camp in Indian Hill.

Grillmasters were volunteers Fred Neiheisel of Newtown, Chet Elam of Amelia and Craig Thomas of Amelia.

Stepping Stones is a United Way partner agency. More than 425 children, teens and young adults attend the day camps in Indian Hill and Batavia.

The summer day camps welcome volunteers through the summer.
