Bidding documents may be examined and obtained, at the Township Administration Building, 2238 State Route 756, Moscow, Ohio 45153, 513-553-2072. Bidders must register with the Township. Addenda will be sent only to those so registered.
Bidders shall submit with their bids a Bid Guarantee in the form of either (1) a combined Guarantee and Contract bond, (2) a certified check, a cashier’s check drawn on a solvent bank or (3) an irrevocable letter of credit, as bid security. Bid security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Guarantees shall be made payable to the Washington Township Trustees. The bid guarantee shall be in strict compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Section 153.54 and Sections 153.57 and 153.571 as applicable. The successful bidder will be required to submit contract security in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum, on the form provided. Other forms will not be accepted.
Any bid in excess of $75,000 is subject to applicable law regarding Prevailing Wages.
Bids may be mailed in advance, to the Township Administration Building and must be marked on the outside, as stipulated above, and must be received at the Township office by the time and date stipulated above.
Bidders and all workers employed on this project must have mold remediation experience. Bidders must submit a list of mold remediation project references along with their bid.
The entire interior of the Firehouse is the remediation area. This project does not include reconstruction.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 1:00 PM on June 20, 2014 at the Township Administration Building to review the Mold Remediation Protocol and address any questions. A voluntary walk-through inspection will follow at the site.
Bidders shall meet all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those concerning nondiscrimination, employment opportunity, health, safety and others.
The Washington Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding, and to withhold final awarding of the contracts for sixty (60) days after opening of the bids.
