Milford Amateur Radio Club (MARC) has announce its annual event open to everyone known as Field Day.

Hosted by Hams worldwide, Field Day offers the public a chance to see and hear amateur radio in action.

This year’s event will be held on the grounds of Mulberry Elementary School located at 5950 Buckwheat Road in Milford, Ohio. The public is invited to join us anytime between 2PM Saturday, June 28 through 2PM Sunday, June 29.

“Field Day is a worldwide event that showcases amateur (Ham) radio and demonstrates our ability for emergency communications in a fun contest format. We will be contacting participating stations all over the globe, over the radio, demonstrating different types of equipment and antennas. We will also have a demonstration station that the public can use to ‘Get on the Air’ and make to contacts to other contest participants, under our licensed club members supervision. All ages are welcome. This is a perfect learning opportunity for you or your child that might have an interest in radio communications. Reservations are not necessary, come and join in the fun,” MARC president Mike Kieffer said.

This free event will have ample parking for visitors at the site.

MARC members will be operating several radio stations offering the chance to witness both local and worldwide communication.

A special radio station will be staffed to assist persons of all ages to make his or her first contact.

The Milford Amateur Radio Club is located in Milford Ohio. Established in 1974, MARC is a member of the American Radio Relay League.

MARC membership is open to all amateur radio licensees and non-licensees alike.
