Officers believe that a man killed himself by jumping in front of a tractor trailer on Interstate 275 March 21.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia Post, Raymond Lynch, 55, of Bloomingburg, was driving a tractor trailer south on Interstate 275 when a pedestrian ran into his path near the 65 mile post at approximately 6:20 a.m.

The pedestrian, John Sullivan, 27, of Cincinnati, was described as kneeling at the end of the retaining wall and then running directly into the path of the semi.

Sullivan was struck by the semi when he ran onto the interstate. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clermont County Coroner.
