Several teachers and staff members at West Clermont Local School District were recognized during the Feb. 10 board meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Keith Kline introduced each of the eight teachers and staff members who have recently gone above and beyond what is required of them at the district.
He said they were nominated by their peers for the work that they have done.
“I love this night because we get to show off the great people we have working with our kids,” Kline said.
The individuals included Sarah Bose, a special education teacher at Summerside Elementary School; Tanya Darnell, a teacher at Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary School; Kathy Lach, a teacher at Glen Este High School; Jean Meredith, with central enrollment at the district office; Curtis Ogle, a custodian at Glen Este Middle School; Emily Smith, a computer technician at Summerside Elementary School; Melissa Vogel, a para-professional at Brantner Elementary School; and Stephanie Walker, the principal at Amelia Middle School.
Kline talked about some of the ways the individuals helped students at the district, took time to help other staff members, or went out of their way to help someone have a better day.
From spending extra time with students to cleaning snow off of fellow employees cars during the bad weather, Kline said he is proud of how the individuals have helped others at the district.
“Thanks to all of you,” Kline said. “We couldn’t do the job without you.”
