West Clermont Board of Education members and members of the American Legion recognized Glen Este High School sophomore Brady Dunigan for his outstanding test results during their Feb. 10 meeting.

Glen Este High School Principal Bob Walker said Dunigan preformed exceptionally well on the American Legion’s Americanism Test.

According to the American Legion, the test evaluates students on their knowledge of United States Citizenship, the U.S. Constitution, flag etiquette and government at the federal, state, county and city level.

“This is the first time the event has been held locally,” Walker said about the test.

Walker said more than 300 students participated from Glen Este and more than 65,000 students in the state of Ohio participated in the test.

He said Dunigan received the top score.

Ron Hartman, commander of the American Legion Post 72, said Dunigan was one of three individuals

selected by the American Legion to win a trip with friends to Washington D.C.

“I just want to thank the American Legion,” Dunigan said about the honor.
