Bobby Nipper, a man who was charged with stabbing his brother Jan. 22, remains in jail after a bond hearing Jan. 23.

Clermont County Municipal Court Magistrate Robert Lamb set Nipper’s bond at $100,000 after reading over the charges and Nipper’s previous record.

“I am going to ask $100,000,” Lamb said about setting the bail. “He did stab his brother seven times and he had to be life-flighted.”

Nipper was charged with one count of felonious assault after stabbing his brother Jan. 22, according to Clermont County Sheriff A.J. “Tim” Rodenberg.

Police were called to Felicity just before 11 a.m. Jan. 22 after receiving reports of a stabbing at 116 East Walnut Street in the village.

While police were on their way to the location, they found Bobby Nipper fleeing the area on foot.

Nipper was believed to be involved in the stabbing, so he was transported back to 116 East Walnut Street, where it was discovered that he had been involved in a fight with his brother, Gary Nipper, 35.

Gary Nipper suffered from multiple puncture wounds to his back, according to the release, and said his brother Bobby had stabbed him.

Gary Nipper was transported to University Hospital by AirCare.

Bobby Nipper was transported to Clermont County Jail, where he remains on a $100,000 bond.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 3 p.m. Jan. 30 in front of Judge Anthony Brock at Clermont County Municipal Court.
