Two men were killed after a collision that occurred on US 52 in Monroe Township Jan. 2.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia Post, the two vehicle crash occurred at approximately 3:07 p.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Garry Thomas Gloeckner, 56, of Felicity was driving a Ford F-150 north on US 52 and Ryan Marc Holland, 29, of Norwood, was driving a Toyota 4-Runner south on US 52.

The two vehicles struck head on after Holland’s vehicle traveled left of center.

Gloeckner was pronounced dead at the scene by Clermont County Coroner’s Office.

Holland was transported to Anderson Mercy Hospital by Monroe Township EMS where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Neither Gloeckner nor Holland were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. It has not been determined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
