Jack Franks, 79, formerly of Williamsburg, died Dec. 17.

Franks was a 1952 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He served in the United States Navy and received his bachelor’s degree in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology.

He was a retired news reporter for WOR radio in New York City and in his retirement was a well-known dealer in arts and antiques on the east coast.

Franks is survived by his partner of 51 years Harvey Moledsky, nieces Cheryl Ann (Phillip) Hess and Carole Deel-Bennett, nephew Scott (Sandy) Deal, great-nephew Jeremy (Crystal) Hess, great-niece Terri Faldowski, cousin Judy (Al) Walsh and a host of friends and relatives near and far.

Graveside services at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at Williamsburg Cemetery. Memorials to be sent to the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati as performing visual arts were dear to Jack’s heart.
