James “Mac” McCarty, 88, of Batavia Township, died Sept. 12.
McCarty is survived by his children Deborah Nicodemus, Tamara (Robert) Correll and Daniel (Deborah) McCarty, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, siblings Myra Joan and Bill McCarty.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice.
Visitation 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Sept. 17 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. Interment at Pierce Township Cemetery. Memorials to Vitas Hospice or Amelia United Methodist Church.
