Oscar D. Brown, 88, of Union Township, died July 29.
He was a long time member of the Glen Este Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater.
Brown was preceded in death by wife Mary R. Brown.
He is survived by daughter Joyce Venable, grandchild Tracy Burris, great-grandchildren Samuel, Andrew, and Marc Neff, and the Morris family.
Visitation 11:30 a.m. July 31 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
