Audrey Vernon, 89, died May 24.
Vernon was always interested in medicine and volunteered for the Red Cross at the old Oak St. Bethesda Hospital before earning her LPN degree at age 56.
She was preceded in death by husband Jack Vernon.
Vernon is survived by children Diana (Howard) Korb and Debra (Phil) Hying, grandchildren Jason and Devon Korb, Joe and Kate Hying, and great-grandchild Bryce Korb.
Her family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of Twin Lakes, Montgomery, for the kindness, caring, and love that Vernon received during her stay there.
Memorial service held 11 a.m. June 1 at Twin Lakes of Montgomery Chapel.
Memorials may be made in Vernon’s name to the American Red Cross or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
