Campground renovations are underway at East Fork State Park to update shower houses and improve the campground.

Bob Bowman, park manager of East Fork State Park, said the renovations began in February and are expected to be completed in June.

“It is time,” Bowman said about the decision to renovate the campground.

He said they are renovating the shower houses at the park, which were built in 1976.

“We want to give our customers the best experience we can when they come camping with us,” Bowman said. “The renovation of the original shower houses will go a long way to do that.”

Bowman said they will be completely renovating seven of the 10 shower houses at the park. He said they will be brightening up the shower houses and will be making them more user-friendly.

“There will definitely be a noticeable difference,” Bowman said.

Bowman said campground access will be limited during the renovations.

“There are no reservations until after this work is completed because it can change from day to day,” Bowman said about construction.

He said they will still have some camping spots available and said individuals should call the camp office at (513) 724-6521 before they come to check availability.

“The estimated completion date is the middle of June,” Bowman said about the project.

Bowman said in addition to campground renovations, they will also be repaving roads in the park this year.
