Staff report

Loveland police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city at approximately 11:35 p.m. Feb. 17 at 300 Broadway Street.

Loveland Police Chief Tim Fabransky said Tad Ducro, 23, of Loveland, was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds that resulted from the shooting.

“What was relayed to us that night was that it was possibly a narcotics transaction,” Fabransky said. “We are not sure what occurred, but when it got into an altercation one suspect pulled out a gun and shots were fired.”

Fabransky said Ducro was treated for gunshot wounds and released from the hospital that night.

Police were originally looking for four suspects after the shooting.

Fabransky said once they consult with the prosecutor’s office they will determine whether to move forward with indictments or charges.

“I hope we will be able to have more information next week,” Fabransky said.

Anyone with additional information about the shooting is asked to call Loveland Police Division at (513) 677-7000.
