A Cincinnati man was killed in a roll-over crash involving another vehicle on I-275 Nov. 5.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash which occurred at approximately 8:08 p.m.

According to a release from the highway patrol, preliminary investigation revealed that Jason Bell, 37, of Cincinnati, was driving a 2013 Audi A6 north on I-275 with his wife, April, and three children.

Bell was involved in a collision with a deer that left his vehicle disabled in the center lane of I-275.

William Powers, 36, of Cincinnati, driving a 2006 Hummer H3 was also headed north on I-275 along with his 7-year-old son.

Powers swerved when he approached the Audi and struck the left rear of the vehicle. The Hummer overturned and rolled off the left shoulder of the road. Powers was ejected from the vehicle.

Powers was pronounced dead at the scene. His son was transported by Miami Township EMS to Children’s Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No occupants of Bell’s vehicle were transported to the hospital.

Alcohol or speed are not suspected to be factors in the crash. Seatbelts and child booster seats were in use by all, except Powers.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
