Wonders of the World presents projects at SEM Haven center

Early this June, the members of the Clermont county Wonders of the World (WOW) 4-H club demonstrated their projects at the SEM Haven Health and Residential Care Center in Milford.

Their purpose was to entertain the residents, as well as to present what they learned for their projects. How to train a dog to scent objects, African food, knotting ropes, birds, and different genres of guitar music were some of the topics covered.

After the demonstrations, the club conducted a meeting with Margret Rosselot, a SEM Haven resident, in attendance. Rosselot, formerly of Fayetteville, was a member of 4-H for years, eventually becoming a club advisor when her children joined the club.

During the meeting, the members of WOW voted unanimously to make their visit with Rosselot a focal point of their club’s fair booth by incorporating it into this year’s fair theme, “making memories.”

“Mrs. Rosselot is such a great example of how 4-H can impact one’s life”, said club advisor Janet Vandergrift, “Her love for 4-H is one of the first things to learn when you talk to her.”

The WOW 4-H club plans to continue to visit SEM Haven for future club demonstrations.
