Beginning at a point of Ohio street corner to lot formerly owned by Andrew Conner (now by Wilcher Jones), running back with his line one hundred and ninety (190) feet to a twenty (20) foot alley; thence North with said alley to the original corner of lots 246 and 247 now corner to George H. Plaintiff has brought this action naming your property as a Defendant by filing a Complaint on April 27, 2012, and an Amended Complaint on May 1, 2012, in the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas for the forfeiture of the property described in the Complaints.
The object of the action is to obtain from the Court a judgment forfeiting the property under R.C. 2981.05.
The property which is the subject of this foreclosure action is $814.00 U.S. Currency, which was seized from you.
You or any person also claiming any right to the property listed above should file an Answer in such action setting forth the nature and amount of interest owned or claimed and any defense or objection to the forfeiture.
An Answer must be filed in the office of the Clerk of Courts, Clermont County, Ohio, within sixty (60) days after date of first publication of this notice which will be published for two consecutive weeks. The first date of publication is May 10, 2012. Such answer must be filed on or before July 9, 2012.
If no Answer is filed or you fail to otherwise respond on or before the time stated above, a judgment of forfeiture will be taken by default as to the property listed in the Amended Complaint. Of the total amount, $574.00 shall be awarded to Union Township, whose police department was primarily responsible for its seizure, and $240.00, as identified by serial number, is to be returned to the Clermont County Narcotics Unit.
Upon the filing of the Entry of Forfeiture, any person thereafter claiming any right to, or and interest, the property shall be forever barred and foreclosed of any such right to, or interest in, such property.
