Milford High School announced that senior infielder and pitcher Bryce Anderson will be continuing his baseball career at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana next season.
Anderson, who hit .228 last season, will study Exercise Science at Huntington.
Anderson had limited his decision between Huntington and Transylvania University, but chose Huntington earlier this month.
Anderson has played baseball all four years at Milford and has earned varsity letters both his junior and senior seasons.
During his time at Milford, Anderson has been involved in both athletics as well as other extracurricular activities around the school. He is a member of Student Council as well as the Circle of Friends.
Anderson appeared in 14 games as a junior and started five of them. He had five hits in 21 at bats and knocked in two runs as well as scoring four others.
Anderson’s slugging percentage was .286 and his on-base percentage was .407.
The Eagles finished in second place in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference a year ago and were District Runners-Up.
Milford is off to a good start in the 2012 season, winning all four of their games. Anderson has appeared in one game as a pitcher so far in 2012, pitching one inning and striking out two batters.
Following his senior season, Anderson will travel about three and a half hours to Huntington, just outside of Forth Wayne, to play for head coach Mike Frame and the Foresters.
Huntington is about half-way through with their 2012 season and currently sit at 10-16 overall and 5-7 in the Mid-Central College Conference.
Huntington is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the NAIA Great Lakes Region. Huntington is also a member of the National Christian College Athletics Association.
Bryce is the son of Tommie and Jane Anderson.
