“This game was typically how we played all year long. They always played hard. I’m very happy with their effort in their final game knowing there was nothing on the line. (Junior)Brandon Bottorf did a good job for us kicking the extra points moving over from the soccer team. (Senior linebacker) Nick Bonavita, (senor defensive back) DeWayne Smith and (senior defensive lineman) Hoot Heckard) did a real good job for us.

“This senior group set a great example3 of what you should do as leaders in every aspect. They are quality young men.

“Winning two of our last three games have the young kids a lot of experience that will be a big help for next year and this is going to boost out confidence.”

Batavia closed out the campaign with an overall record of 2-8, but it is on a very positive note as the county seaters were victorious in their two of their final three confrontations.
