Ray Hamblin, 93, of Loveland and Miami Township, died Oct. 7, 2011.

He was an electrician. He was a private in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a truck driver in combat areas, and earned the EAME Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, the American Defense Service Ribbon, the American Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mentha Wilson Hamblin; siblings Gordy and Alti Hamblin, and Estel and Willie Stacey; daughter Linda Hamblin.

Survivors include his children, Deborah Miller, Danny Lee Hamblin, Joseph Hamblin, Ray Hamblin Jr.

Services Oct. 15 at Evans Funeral Home, Goshen.

Interment at Hopkinsville Cemetery in Hamilton County.
