Rev. Glenn Douglas Byrnside, 83, formerly of Cincinnati died Aug. 5 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Ky.

Byrnside was born in Logan, West Virginia and was a minister with the Pentecostal Church. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Gail, two sons Ted and George, both of Cincinnati, five daughters Linda Lyons and Nancy Asha, both of Cincinnati, Deloris Moore of Erlanger Ky., Kathy Bass of Mainville, and Cindy Griffith of Lockland, three step-sons Allen Perkins of Indianapolis, In., Clifford Perkins of Clay City, Ky., and Clayton Perkins of Cherry Fork, two step-daughters Polly Glahuskie of Memphis, Tenn., and Mary Bowlin of Sardinia as well as other loving family members and friends.

Byrnside was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Marion (Taylor) Byrnside, his son Glenn Douglas Byrnside and brother Robert Taylor.

Visitation 6 p.m. Aug. 9 and funeral services 10 a.m. Aug. 10 at The Booneville Funeral Home. Military Rites from Three Forks Post 11296 Aug. 10. Interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owsley County, Ky.
