Boys varsity bowling among Clermont County’s squads is off to a respectable beginning.

Glen Este opened its campaign with a 2972-2724 win over Loveland’s Tigers. Jaekob Pesnichak fired a 258 single game and 481 two-game total to spearhead the Clermont countians’ scores.

The Orange and Black was set back again by the Trojans 2686-2348. Pesnichak knocked down a total of 494 (267 in one game). Teammate Paul Hudson rolled over 254 pins in one game.

Hudson totalled a 484 to pace the Purple and White in a 3031-2547 verdict over Walnut Hills’ Eagles.

All wins were against Fort Ancient Ancient Valley Conference competition.

Milford also took the measure of Walnut Hills 2411-2307. Senior Brad Long rolled a 425 to pace the winning keglers.

The Clermont countians won the return match between the Hamilton County Eagle enemies 2524-2325. Sophomore Justin Birkley’s 394 was the best total turned in by a Milfordian.

Wilmington whipped the Red and White 2919-2501 despite an outstanding 257 one-game total recorded by sophomore Mike Emerson to bring his two-game tally to 386.

The Hurricanes won the rematch, too, but this time much closer, 2448-2991. Long’s 400 was the best dual total recorded by a Clermont countian.

Each of Milford’s games was a Fort Ancient Valley Conference game.

Amelia began its season on the positive side with a 2303-2106-1900 tri-battle triumph over the Clark Montessori Cougars and the Summit Country Day Silver Knights, respectively. Sophomore Sammy Banori paced the Barons with a 363.

Kings’ Knights won out 2168-1999. Sophomore Michael Seebohm registered the best two-game total for the Blue and White with a 357.

Neither of the Amelia games were conference clashes. The Barons are a member of the Southern Buckeye Conference that has just two teams, Goshen the other.
