The Salvation Army launched its 2010 “Red Kettle” campaign Wednesday, Nov. 17 and the Greater Cincinnati division’s six Corps hope to raise a total of $625,000 this year.

Captain John Dave said the annual fund-raiser accounts for 85 percent of the Batavia Corps’ general fund. The funds are used for disaster relief, emergency shelter, heating and cooling bill assistance, camping activities for seniors and youth, and men’s and women’s ministries.
